frog go down,

he don’t drown.

no matter where he been,

he just jump in.

in heaven they wear white shoes

and everything got to stay like new…

preacher say,

hey now, you…

listen, you.

frog go down,

he don’t drown.

no matter where he been

he doin’ it again.

white shoes by the pond side,

white dress pretty

on a branch t’other side.

  2. hedgewitch says:

Some amphibian innuendo if ever I heard it–I’m smilin at the white dress. I can’t now remember where this saying came from, some vanished kid’s show: “Pluck your magic twanger, froggy.”

  3. lolamouse says:

Froggie went a courtin’ and he did ride, uh huh…

  4. Mama Zen says:

Hmmm . . . baptism or skinny dipping?

  5. Frog got baptized! Oops, I see Mama Zen beat me to that one, but good to know I’m in the right company!

this makes my mind wander back to the days of kissing frogs…

  9. Told you I’d be back with another post. PLEASE overlook the fact that these dancers were in the 30s or 40s and so had to wear stereotypical clothing. Just groove on the dancing, and then read the poem! Peace and froggies forever, Amy
